Licensed guides
The self-employed tourist guide operates a regular business, conforming to the guidelines. This must be earned upon passing a strict and officially approved examination, which verifies the proof of ability. Austria Guides know their country the best.

Fairtours – new ideas to experience the Salzburg of today
Salzburg’s stately licensed guides offer a two hours old town morning tour. One guided in German and one guided in English at a fair price of € 15,- per person.
At a relaxed stroll off the beaten tracks, guests will get to know hidden places and ideas for the rest of their time in Salzburg. „We want to motivate guests and locals to experience this city from a different perspective, but the highlights will not be neglected. At these hotspots our Salzburg guides will not stay too long, out of respect for residents and other guests“, explains the spokesperson of Salzburg’s tourist guides in the chamber of commerce.
